0.9m Telescope Control System Information

This page gives details about the new Telescope Control System (TCS)
at the 0.9m, which was installed in April 2005 by DFM Engineering.

02 APR 2005	last night of old TCS at 0.9m

25 APR 2005	first night of new TCS at 0.9m

GENERAL CAPABILITIES
_______________________________________________________________________

1. pointing now good to approximately 20"

2. minimal or no guiding required for exposures up to 5 minutes

3. the slew is much faster than for the previous TCS

PROBLEMS AS OF THE TORRENT ERA = AFTER 16 MAY 2016
_______________________________________________________________________

1. The headers state a pixel scale of 384 mas/pixel.  The correct
   scale is 401 mas/pixel.

2. Torrent talks successfully to the TCS.  As of 10 AUG 2016, the
   following fields in the headers need to be checked:

	HA         check for + vs. - relative to meridian
	ST         need to check
	AIRMASS    need to check
