CCD: FULL 13'x13'armin READOUT: QUAD GAIN INDEX: 4: Read Noise ~ 5.0 FILTER SET: UBVRI ***************************************************************************** TEMPLATE FOR CI AQL ON 29 JUNE 2006 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES FOR OBSERVING ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. The times *must* be from UT 06:10-08:10 for CI Aql (whose eclipse is centered at UT 07:10 {JD 2453916.799}) on UT 30 June 2006 {civil 29/30 June 2006}. 2. Take 60 second integrations in the V-band, and keep repeating for the entire two hour period. 3. Take the observations through any conditions, as I'll be doing differential photometry with respect to nearby stars. Even a sporatic light curve through holes in clouds can return an eclipse time of some use. 3. The finder chart for U Sco can be found from the Downes & Shara catalog at http://icarus.stsci.edu/~downes/cvcat/Forms/varcat_query.html Enter the name of the target (CI Aql) in the box at upper left labelled "GCVS Name", click the "Submit" box on the upper right, then click on the name on the left. 4. Please center the indicated position a bit off-center (by perhaps 10% of the FOV) so that the variable and comparison stars are on the same quadrant. At the start of the two hour period, move to CI Aql, take a focus (if needed), check the center (so CI Aql does not fall on a bad column or join line), then start the sequence with the 'MORE' command. And stop when the two hours is up. This program should be very easy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES FOR CALIBRATION FIELDS ----------------------------------------------------------------------- No calibration, the photometry will be all differential with respect to nearby stars. 1- Take 11 dome flats for each filter and 11 zeros ----------------------------------------------------------------------- DETAILS ON TARGET (J2000.0) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- TARGET CI Aql PRIORITY 1 COORDINATES 18 52 03.6 -01 28 39 (J2000.0) FINDER CHART http://icarus.stsci.edu/~downes/cvcat/Forms/varcat_query.html AIRMASS given times will give good airmass FILTER(S) V INTEGRATION(S) 60 seconds TOTAL TIME UT 06:10 to 08:10 30 June 2006 {civil 29/30 June 2006} NOTES Do under any conditions, even only occassional cloud holes
