Feb to Early April 2004

  • Sallie and Chloe enjoy an afternoon in the sun.
  • Peter and son Felix enjoy the sun shine also.
  • Another game night, but Rebbecca and Theo seem interested in the food and wine.
  • Martin, however, plots his next scrabble move.
  • In the mean time, Gerard takes silly upside down photos of himself.
  • Some are, naturally, sillier than others.
  • Sallie is never silly during a scrabble game.
  • Nor is Stephany, just don't say anything too rude.
  • Gordon prepares entry photos for the Academy Awards party.
  • It was a large and fun time. Here's Sallie and Kent enjoying the huge TV.
  • We each had to fill out our picks for the event. Sallie drank instead.
  • Kendra looks on. I think they still have that huge TV projection thingy.
  • They had a barman, of course, who new how to mix a proper martini.
  • Everyone looks on, hoping that old Rusty wins nothing.
  • Gordon and Kendra were awarded small, but exclusive, statues for being the hosts with the mosts.
  • Gordon finally announces the winners.
  • A man and his favorite plant.
  • A girl and her favorite pipe.
  • If you saw this in real time you could see the rings... really.
  • Theo finally puts up the crown molding in the spare room.
  • Which, minus the bed, is now a project room.
  • In which Sallie does projects.
  • Yet another game night, and Theo makes them play bridge.
  • This confuses Martin, who was nevertheless pretty good at it.
  • Michael too was here for this card night.
  • Sallie was even convinced to play, though by this time it was up-and-down-the-river.
  • Easter Sunday and Mandy and Ben invite us around for a feast. Here's Mandy cooking rabbit.
  • Too much sitting in the sun and playing of folk songs went on. Sallie loved it.
  • There were even some hands on types who made colored eggs.
  • And spun wool.
  • Sallie and Joe let the people sing and egg and spin and sat down regardless.
  • Mandy put on her special apron just to amuse the lads.
  • It all results in eating. Here's Ben, Joe and Mandy tucking in.
  • No, Mandy is not giving a speech, just pouring wine.
  • Later that week, we start plotting the UK trip. Here's Sallie and Stephany with dueling PCs.
  • Poor Steph, a teacher, had to have her grades in the next day.
  • Still, planning takes a while, and fortunately it can be done in bed.
